Welcome
Welcome

Welcome to Central Texas Heart Center, the largest, most experienced, and most comprehensive provider of non-invasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology services in the Brazos Valley.  Beginning with the first cardiac catheterization in the region more than twenty years ago by the group's founder and president, Dr. Gordon Mitchell, and continuing today with state-of-the-art nuclear cardiology in our office, we will always strive to serve our patients with the most current methods, compassionate care, and responsive service.  One of our cardiologists is on call 24/7 to ensure that when your heart needs help, we will be there.

Though conveniently located adjacent to St. Joseph Regional Health Center with the first designated Chest Pain Center in the region, we also maintain full clinical privileges at the College Station Medical Center for our patients who choose The Med as their hospital.  In addition, we offer outreach cardiology services at the St. Joseph Caldwell Family Medicine Clinic and at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center to better serve patients living in Burleson and Grimes Counties.  Beginning in January 2010, to better serve residents of Washington and Bell Counties, we will move from our long-standing office in the Brenham Clinic to the Suite 101 in the University Cancer Center building across from Trinity Medical Center in Brenham.  For the convenience of our patients who live outside the Bryan/College Station local calling area, we offer a toll-free number, 1-866-629-5545For more information on service to these communities, please click on "News" to the left.

ATTENTION: Newly proposed Medicare changes and some components of proposed health care reforms may cause lengthy delays in diagnosis and treatment by forcing physicians to curtail services and limit patient access to critically important technology. Guarding Hearts Alliance is helping to raise awareness about the impact that proposed Medicare regulations and certain provisions within healthcare reform legislation may have on your access to cardiac care. Please take a moment and click the image below to read more about the proposed changes and what you can do to help protect your rights as a patient.
