As the largest, most experienced, and most comprehensive provider of non-invasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular services in the Brazos Valley, we are proud of our 15 years of providing those services in Brenham for residents of Washington County.  We believe that patients deserve to receive routine cardiology care close to home, if possible.  We’ve been honored to have been associated with the superb physicians of the Brenham Clinic and to have been guests in their facility all this time.

Regrettably, in mid-December, we were notified by their new hospital owners that our lease in the Brenham Clinic building was terminated, effective January 1st.  It is our sincere hope that this will not affect our close collegial relationship with the doctors of the Brenham Clinic.  Despite this turn of events, we remain even more strongly committed to providing and expanding convenient cardiology services to residents of Washington County right in their hometown.  

We’ve chosen to turn this setback into an opportunity.  Effective immediately, Drs. Mitchell, Wigley, Mays, and Gutierrez will provide cardiology clinic services on Wednesdays in a new, and, for many of our patients, even more convenient location.  Our new office is located in Suite 101 of the University Cancer Center building immediately across from Trinity Medical Center.  

We accept all insurance for referred patients.  As a reminder, Central Texas Heart Center is proud to be participating providers with the Scott & White Health Plan and we look forward to collaborating with the Scott & White Health System as it assumes a more important role in caring for Washington Co. residents. 

We are thrilled to be associated with and providing clinical leadership to the first designated Chest Pain Center in our region at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.  Central Texas Heart Center is pleased to be the recipient of the 2009 Bryan/College Station Eagle Reader’s Choice Award and we recently were awarded “Five Star” status by HealthGrades®, the leading national rating agency for hospitals and healthcare providers.
